VICTORIA DE LOS ANGELES WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS ONE OF THE MOST BELOVED AND RESPECTED SOPRANOS OF THE 20TH CENTURY. I CONSIDER THIS RECORDING ONE OF HER CLASSICS. HER INTERPRETATIONS OF THE GREAT ZARZUELA ARIAS SET THE STANDARD BY WHICH LATER LORENGAR, CABALLE, BERGANZA AND BAYO WERE TO BE GUIDED. A MUST-HAVE RECORD.

The soul of us Spaniards is in this recording,I have known this recording since I was a teenager in the 60's and it's always been there for me!!!Although for whatever reason I keep losing copies of it so,have to keep buying!!Guess I need new friends or not play it for them!!!
