If you are purchasing this CD for the album version of the 1963 hit "Call Me," you're likely to be disappointed. While "Call Me' is on the CD, it is an entirely different song. One I never heard of. Since I purchased this CD solely for this song, my rating reflects my disappointment. However, if you're a Bobby Bland fan you'll will enjoy this CD.

Remember this was 1990, and the sound of music was REALLY changing (And there is only so much one can do with Bobby Bland). Al Bell was the producer of this album, As with previous Bobby Bland albums on ABC/MCA Records starting with "Come Fly With Me", and ending with this one. You must give Al Bell credit for producing some of Bobby's most soulful recordings that are ALL Sought after by Collectors', who are just now finding how great those albums were. ALL had top flight musicians and background singers, As well as excellent remakes to be found on each one! The Remake of "Looking Back" is featured on this release. Other nice tracks are the Bluesy Title Track: "You've Got Me Loving You", "I've Got A Friend", and "Just Because I Love You". You can pick this up as low as $1.00, so if you have some 'Extra Change', it's worth adding to your Bobby Bland collection. Maybe one day MCA will release a Box Set featuring ALL of Bobby Bland's recorded work for Dunhill, ABC & MCA!!! Maybe!, but in the meantime......Also NOTE: On the Track Listing (Here) it lists 12 (Twelve), but there was ONLY 9 (Nine) Tracks
'Originally' recorded, so the Additional 3 (Three) you see listed have NOTHING to do with Bobby Bland!
