classic album, 5 stars!! Oct 24, 2006
By GM This albums bangs from the beginning to the end with party jams and slow jams, an added bonus that he even raps on some of the tracks, I love songs on here like "It's Over", "Down On My Knees", "Don't Keep Me Waiting", "Back In LA", and of course the classic title track, Montell Jordan is a music genious, pick up this album right now if you don't have already!!!

masterpiece Mar 12, 2006

"This Is How We Do It" will always be a great party or club anthem. It Samples from Slick Rick's "Children's Story". Alot of the other songs seem to be based on that same type of party flow. Overall, great party CD

===Money is just tremendous!=== May 23, 2000
By Philip Y. Montell Jordan (a.k.a. Money) has his own unique style and it's untouchable. The man is one of the most gifted in the R&B scene, plain and simple. It's not only his amazing voice, but it's also his awesome production skills and his ability to mix new-school style with older style of R&B. His verses are fresh and many of the songs have a strong hip hop feel in them. Montell even raps on a few of the songs and he does it well. And don't think that the party anthem "This is How We Do It" is the only song to love on the album. There's a lot of other GREAT songs you'll love to hear again and again. Montell is so talented, whether it's singing or producing the songs. That's something real rare and combined with his charisma it makes MJ untouchable. This is his first album... Check out the rest as well.
For a contemporary R&B CD this is quite good. Jan 28, 2011
By Justo Roteta As someone who does not like most post-1988 R&B, I will say that this CD is quite good and that Montell Jordan has much to offer. While no match for the truly great Soul Men (Luther Vandross, Al Green, Isaac Hayes, Lou Rawls, etc.), Montell Jordan obviously has very profund roots in both Gospel and '70s Soul and they shine brightly throughout this CD.
One of the best songs but not one of his best albums Sep 05, 2005
By K. Covin I'm an album person. I like the most of the album to be listenable. This album wasn't. It had 4 songs - Something 4,payback,daddy's home, of course the title track. I think he tried to implement "This is how we do it" into most of his songs. But if u like the 4 songs only on this albums. Buy all of his albums because this and Get it on tonite are the worst one!
