Music in the Learning Environment - YES! Apr 09, 2003 I recently used this CD as part of my master's degree research project and thesis. I used this music in a reading comprehension study and a hallway behavior study. I also used Halpern's Accelerated Learning music, and Creed's heavier rock music. To summarize: 75% of students who listened to these classical pieces before reading scored an average of 6.7% higher on reading comprehension tests than when they did not. Hallway behavior improved by 33% while this CD was played. In contrast, misbehavior nearly doubled with the rock music. The tempo, timbres and form of this music seemed most effective in the middle school environment I used for this study. I don't usually leave reviews, but thought this was noteworthy, especially for other educators.

Helps Me Learn Complex Information Almost Effortlessly. Apr 06, 2000 I have a job which requires me to learn complex information to keep pace with technological changes. I've never had an easier time quickly learning and retaining the data now that I've started using this CD. The music is wonderful to listen to even when I'm not studying. The performances are a bit different from the way the music might ordinarily be recorded, an added bonus. I hope this label produces additional titles in the near future, I now own six and want more!

terrific music for studying Oct 03, 2010
By healing_smile I used this CD together with another with my headphones in my laptop as I studied for my master's degree. I used it mostly while typing papers, but also while studying for tests. I found out while at the library that I got much more distracted if trying to study in silence, once I put this music on, it kept me focused for much longer.
Graduation finally came, thank you for this terrific tool.

Great for the Classroom! Jan 09, 2010

It really works Jul 12, 2009
By Mini Driver I have several CDs in this series and find them amazingly effective. Just like playing rock music can make nonverbal tasks such as housecleaning easier, playing these CDs enhances mental effort. I am a writer and find that listening to Music for Learning, Music for Concentration, Music for Thinking, and Music for Inspiration really improves my concentration. It sets a mental pace and keeps my mind from wandering to other things. Unlike most music I listen to, these CDs fade into the background of my mind while I'm thinking and writing. I once accidentally had my computer set to replay the same song over and over and, before I realized it, I had listened to the same track on Music for Thinking some twenty times.
