Although individual members have remained in high demand (Mike Finnigan was recruited for Joe Cocker's recent tour and Denny Freeman with Bob Dylan), the band still found the time to come together in the studio and record new material, serving up a savory blend of Gospel, R&B, Soul, Funk, Reggae and Blues. With a proven track record that includes 2 Grammys for their previous work with Taj Mahal, you can expect the Phantom Blues Band to continue to imprint their mark upon the world just like footprints in the sand. | | | |

Their Swingin' Best CD! Aug 19, 2008
By Aidea If you are a fan of the Phantom this is their very best CD! Mike Finnegan and band have never sounded tighter, the horns sounds like the "Tower of Power" horns, they are that powerful! This CD needs more airplay! "Look at Granny Run" is such a soulful song! I just can't believe these guys aren't huge stars! BUY this CD! It's swingin', soulful and anyone who's seen these guys loves 'em! And this is a really fun CD! Yeah baby!

Great stuff! Jun 06, 2008

"Mr. Rhythm & Blues"
Might be their best yet. I kept playing "My Wife Can't Cook" because I was laughing so much, I was missing the lyrics. This and Roomful's "Raisin' A Ruckus" are great companion pieces. Came out about the same time. Kudos to my music sources(magazines, music channel) for finding out about these.
