My wife says this CD takes her back to her childhood in El Salvador. She wants to send a copy to her relatives. We play this for our 19th month old daughter constantly, who loves to dance to it.

The singing and music has a nice authentic feel to it, and does not sound over-produced (that is, too polished) like some children's CDs I've heard. Children sing the songs, with rough patches here and there in their vocals, making it all the more endearing.

I bought this CD for my 6-month-old. I am bilingual and speak only Spanish to him. I wanted music that was familiar to me and fun, too. I bought this CD and the music is certainly familiar, but, my husband describes it as "creepy." The "children" singing aren't really kids. It sounds like adults with voices digitally altered to sound like kids. So, the music is fun and definitely many songs from my childhood but my husband just gets this look of fear on his face when I play it. ;)

This makes you want to dance! And I'm not even a dancer! If or When all other english version children's songs annoy you, this is the CD for you! Everything sounds better in Spanish! (or french!) It's a romance language! It's beautiful! "We sing" in English is a flat word/phrase, but "cantemos..." mmmm mmm m Spanish for "we sing" ("we", the subject, implied...) This is our favorite children's music CD!

little note: I could not find the English translation on my CD song booklet though? I had to type it in Bablefish online free translator. It's a good thing I studied French for six years, & Spanish for two yrs! I can understand the title of "colors", elephants, twinkle twinkle little star, food songs, and the best song of all, non sense, "La Bamba", fun! "..Esatrella...", "Des Colores" , all great songs!

It does not diminish the sheer fun & happiness that comes with this music! I've never heard anything so lively! bouncy!! (OK, minus track 4 & 10, great for bedtime lullaby on repeat.) We need to slow down sometimes. The fast slows have gentler melodies spaced after them. Excellent choices, very good "flow" from one song to the next!!!!!!!!!

How adorable is this CD!!! If your child likes "DORA THE EXPLORER", they will love this CD! My daughter knows more spanish now than I do, I think!!!

I bought this CD because I wanted my English-speaking 2 year old to hear the same songs I heard in MY childhood in Mexico. He loves to hear this music over and over again. He even shakes his tail feathers everytime we play certain songs!

Just as there is a distinct difference between authentic, made-by-Aunt-Rosa Mexican Food Restaurants and Taco Bell Chains, so is there a difference between this CD and all others.

Buy it, love it, pass it on....
