5Purists are SNOBS  Aug 21, 2010
The ONLY true purists of ANY classical music are DEAD! They are the only ones that heard the music played in the age in which it was composed. Anything else is "after" and subject to different arrangements by different conductors. To ANYONE listening to ANY classical music for the first time would NEVER have heard "the original score" with which to make comparisons.

I heard this album back when his "Mozart 40" hit the top of the charts. Ironically, many years later when taking a collage music appreciation course, the highly qualified professor, a well known and accomplished musician herself, used this album to introduce the students to classical music!!! She had to tell me to shut up and give the other students a chance to state the title and composer of the pieces.

I have wanted a CD replacement for my vinyl 33 ever since CDs came out. I was even going to by a USB turntable and record it KNOWING that every scratch and ding would also be caught.

Problem solved.

Thanks

5Fantastic Recording!  Dec 10, 2009
This was the album that launched me into the classical world as a young boy. The early development of my appreciation of classical music started with Mozart. I am so glad they finally made the original recording into a CD. I've been waiting for many years.

5Well chosen Classic themes with best modern touch  May 06, 2009
I searched for that disk for more than a year (I had it as a child on vinyl).
Waldo(unfortunately suicide) put a modern touch "come il faut" not to much (as all others).
Really delicate touch that improves the classic.
Highly recommended!!

5Just as I remember  Apr 19, 2009
The compositions of this album, along with Waldo de los Rios' other beautifully created pieces, is like a vortex drawing sound, emotions, and intellect into an unforgettable journey for your auditory senses.

Listening to the music of Waldo de los Rios brings back so many childhood memories I almost want to cry. I remember listening to Waldo's masterpieces everyday with my Argentine parents and forcing them to endure Sinfonia de los Juguettes over and over again. For me anyway, his music sings to my soul and evokes a gamut of sensations that no other artist has been able to replicate.

5Good product  Oct 05, 2007
An excellent composition of music from Waldo de Los Rios. However please warn residents of India that customs do levy duty on the consignment. The one CD ordered was valued at Rs. 1000 and Rs. 385 levied as duty
