WHA??!?!? Sep 13, 2007
By DJJAMAL
"May you live as long as you want, but not want as long as you live ..."
Where did this come from?!?!?! Out of the nowhere, out of the blue comes this lil gem that bangs from here to South Africa. Nothing but avant garde, gourmet break beats au gratin here.

BANGERS Jan 05, 2007

"The Daily Hustle"
This album is a great experiment in hip-hop and instrumental music. I found out about Flying Lotus on myspace and become a fan. I bought this album when it dropped October 3rd, 2006. Money well spent in my opinion! The "Pet Monster Shotglass" track is fire! Peace

The one that set it all off... Sep 21, 2011
By auDiBLe-INTEGRITY This is the album that set it all off for me back in '07-'08, I think it was. Introduced me to the genius of FlyLo and I instantly became a fan. Loved hearing his work on Adult Swim. The title track on this CD even inspired me to write/record lyrics to it just for the fun of it. Was a deep, telling tale about how music has been important to me and a thank you to all those that have inspired me over the years. I wish FlyLo could've heard my version of it and gave feedback, though I'm sure he heard many others.
Maybe one day... well, I got my own beats to work on. His instrumental albums are visceral, emotive soundscapes. His sample chops and drum programming are def for fans of Dilla, Madlib, the Roots, !llMind, Kanye to an extent (meh, early Kanye)... but I imagine if you're already fans of those guys, you already know about FlyLo. He's just that dope...
A big fan...
